Shotokan

This is a Traditional Japanese form of Martial Arts founded by Master Gitchin Funakoshi. The traditional style focuses on Katas (forms), KIhon (line-drills/basics) and Kumite (light contact sparring). These three aspects of the art come together to form a well rounded martial arts practitioner. The style builds discipline and self-control through continued practice and the ideal of perfecting one’s character and technique over years of training.
Funakoshi was responsible for bringing Shotokan to the mainland of Tokyo and teaching in the colleges. After his death, his students dubbed his style “Shoto Kan” Shoto was his pen name as a write which meant “pine waves” and “Kan” is the Japanese word for hall. Thus making Shotokan Karate-do.

We offer classes for all ages 3 and older in this style of Martial Arts.

Krav Maga (IKI Affiliation)

UNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_1572.jpg
This is an Israeli hand-to-hand combat system. It is a self-defense system specifically designed for the everyday individual. You do not need any special ability or strength to participate in these classes. They are designed for all levels.            These classes teach about body positioning, situational awareness and physical ways of evading, or escaping an aggressor. These classes over time build in the individual, strength both physically and mentally, endurance and a radiant self-confidence.

We offer teen and adult classes in our Krav Maga system.
